Using GraphCalc to solve equations and plotting a graph

 24/05/22

Graphcalc is an open-source computer program that turn sin Microsoft Windows that provides the functionality of a graphing calculator.

Steps to use Graphcalc📈

1. Open Graphcalc

2. Click on graph 1

3. Choose 2D- graph

4. Click on equation

5. Type equation and apply

Case 1

Use graphcalc and generate a line of equation, when the equation is y=2x+1

Observation: I noticed that the line was indeed diagonal straight line which moved from top right to bottom left.

Case 2

y=-2x+1
y=-4x+1
y=-6x+1

Observation: All the lines are moving diagonally from top left to right.

Case 3

y=2x=1

Observation: The line move parallel in x axis.

Case 4

y=2x+1
y=2x+2
y=2x+3

Observation: The lines are moving diagonally from right to left.

Case 5

y=2x-1
y=4x-1

Observation: The lines are moving diagonally from right to the left, and when the the variable increases from 2 to 4, the line moves diagonally from right to left. However, the line is diminishing or decreasing.

Case 6

y=-2x-1
y=-4x-2
y=-6x-3

Observation: The lines are moving diagonally from  left to right, and when the the variable increases and also the value of constant increase, the line is move diagonally from right to left  with same point but the line is diminishing from earlier line.

Case 7

y=-2x+1
y=-4x-1

Observation: The lines are moving diagonally from  left to right and line coordinates change when the value of variable increase.

Case 8

solve the equation; y=(x+5)(x-1)

Observation: After plotting the equation, the line forms U- shape.

Case 9

y=x^2-2x+4

 Observation: After plotting the equation, the line forms a U- shape.
